The consultation helps us to determine if you are someone likely to respond to chiropractic care. Our examination and assessment might be a little different than those of other health practitioners you have seen.
Our approach helps us determine what areas of your spine and nervous system are involved and related to your health challenges. We acquire this information through postural assessment, numerous neurological tests, range of motion evaluations, assorted chiropractic tests and motion/static palpation. When necessary other adjunctive testing including x-rays may be performed. After your consultation and examination Dr. Walling will assess your findings and make recommendations to you for care. This may include Chiropractic manipulation, exercises, nutritional support, and/or a medical referral if your condition should warrant such.
Your First Visit at Abram Chiropractic
Our patients often say they feel right at home when they come into our office. When you get to our office Sandy will be there to greet you and help you become aquainted with our office. Next comes the paperwork. Don’t worry it’s not that much. If you can, come about 10 –15 minutes early to take care of this paperwork. After this you’ll meet Dr. Walling for consultation, examination and assessment. Treatment will begin that day if no outside tests are required. Please allow about 45-50 minutes for your first visit. Come on, let’s talk! But more important let us listen. Yes, we have some questions we want to ask about you but we also want to do a lot of listening. Who knows better than you what you feel and how you got there. During a brief conversation and review of your health history, we try to determine if you’re a good candidate for chiropractic care.

Since ours is a partnership approach to better health, it’s important that you’re comfortable with us, our procedures and the policies of our office. The consultation is a great time to find that out.
